On Friday May 20, our class represented the ancient greek city-state Sparta in our 5th grade version of the Olympics. We competed in a full day group of events.
The events were:
4×100 relay
4×200 relay
Shotput
Discus
Long Jump
800m run
80m sprint
400m walk
We came second in the olympics and everyone in the whole class did great and had lots of fun. Here are some photo slideshows our awesome teacher made.

WOW!!! That’s amazing guys, that must’ve been sooooooo cool!!! I would have loved to do that. Down here in Australia, we have a little athletics where we do those events. It happens every Saturday. I love all the events (especially discus, long jump and the 4x100m). I hope you had lots of fun!!!!

Hey Tech-Tatters Ney York I’m Lucy I really enjoyed having a look at your Sparta Photos I found the face art very interesting, Do you have a Grade 5 Olympics every year? At my school we have a Sports Carnival where all the Grades have races and games the Grade 5s and 6s play tug-a-war and then the Teachers vs Parents We have our carnival every year but only some people get their face painted by for now.

At my schoool we have a athletics carnival every year we do running,tug of war and novelty events witch enclude rubber chicken throw and the hop challenge witch are really fun!The grade 5 olympics looks like lots of fun i wonder what it would be like if we had a grade 5 olympics.But because we have a athletics carnival every year so i can’t see a grade 5 olympics happening soon.see you for now bye!
